This blog started as a year long project to post a photo taken in the Aberdeenshire village of Johnshaven every day for a year. Having completed all 366 postings, I'm going to keep adding the occasional photo. All comments are very welcome. If you see anything on here that is factually inaccurate, please feel free to put me right!

349. Blue, blue sea
Isn't this weather amazing? I hear it's due to change over the weekend, so let's enjoy it while we can!
Apart from when the haar rolled in, the sea has been this beautiful, deep blue colour all week. In today's photo you can see the Scurdie Ness lighthouse at Ferryden which was built by the Stevenson brothers and has been guiding sailors since 1870.

I've been right down the East coast from you in North Berwick today and it was unseasonably lovely there too! We are all enjoying it and hope it precedes a lovely summer! Havent seen the North Sea so blue in ages (but still wouldn't fancy actually immersing myself in it just yet!)- Caroline
