This blog started as a year long project to post a photo taken in the Aberdeenshire village of Johnshaven every day for a year. Having completed all 366 postings, I'm going to keep adding the occasional photo. All comments are very welcome. If you see anything on here that is factually inaccurate, please feel free to put me right!

What a lovely view of a calm sea.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little girl visiting Johnshaven, there was an old upturned boat cut in half near the harbour where the elderly men used to sit for a smoke and a blether, and to watch the catch being landed.I think it had benches around the inside. A shelter from the wind! The old folk didn't always call it the North Sea then - they still often refererred to it as 'The German Ocean'.- Caroline
