As I've mentioned previously, a coffee morning is now held every Thursday morning in the Church Hall. There is always some entertainment provided, and today it was Standby, a band of three 14 year olds from the village - Laura on vocals & guitar, Eilidh on bass and Liam on drums. They've been playing together since they were in Primary 6 and are really, really good (and I'm not just saying that because Eilidh is my daughter)!!
They won the under 14s category at 'Has the Mearns Got Talent?' a couple of years ago, and are regular performers at the Johnshaven Fish Festival. Apologies for the slightly blurry photo below.
How cool! Although I've been told by my son that I'm too old to say that!!
