47. Heron
Not a great shot, but I knew if I went any closer he/ she would have flown away.
Beautiful composition though, the colour of the sea is gorgeous! I know what you mean about capturing herons...we had one on our garage roof one summer (it was v hot and the local mill pond where he usually hangs out had a leak and was well below its level - so we think he was spying on fish in a neighbour's garden pond!)...the photos I have show a massive garage door and a tiny grey smudge of heron! Ali x
