This blog started as a year long project to post a photo taken in the Aberdeenshire village of Johnshaven every day for a year. Having completed all 366 postings, I'm going to keep adding the occasional photo. All comments are very welcome. If you see anything on here that is factually inaccurate, please feel free to put me right!

26. Haar
The haar has rolled in from the sea and is covering the village at the moment. I hear it extends about five miles inland and as far up the coast as Kinneff.
Yesterday, on my way back from Aberdeen, I saw the haar sitting out at sea - an amazing sight which I hope to capture for this blog sometime if the conditions are right in Johnshaven.

It was quite surreal viewing your pictures of the haar this morning, whilst basking in bright sunshine here! I'd heard it was inclement in Scotland!
ReplyDeleteI'm still learning how to balance my blogging..posting, commenting and viewing too- I find looking at my dashboard helps...but it is tricky to keep up, as you are right...lots to get lost in and inspired by!!
